Today we made the trip over to Lansing where one of this weeks FIRST in Michigan district events was taking place. Our main purpose for attending today's event was to do some scouting, take some pictures and get an general feeling for some of the teams we have not seen already. We were specifically looking at teams that will be competing next weekend in the West Michigan District event, aka WMD.
We took a lot of pictures and watched some of the elimination matches. We did not stay for the end of the competition, but we did watch the webcast from CodeRedRobotics. Congratulations to the winning alliance of Teams 67, 68 & 858.
Lansing is a good place to hold an event. I'm not sure if any state legislatures attended; I hope they did.
Pros - Lansing is a good place to get FIRST noticed by officials in Michigan.
Cons - Pay to park. Concession stand prices were quite high. Lack of seating.
Next weekend, WMD!!!
