It's been a while since my last post; it always seems I never have enough time to write, and it seems that way right now. Nevertheless, I need to write an short update.
We shipped our robot almost 2 weeks ago, and I'm still busier than ever. Mostly with updates and modifications to my websites. I run the site: http://www.firstobjective.org which is a site devoted to seeing a day when every school has a FIRST team.
I also run a sub-site called My Team at http://www.firstobjective.org/myteam. This is a site for FRC teams to help them find their best alliance partners. Last year I compiled a database of statistics from each regional, and I'm doing the same thing again this year. However, over the last week or so I've been able to make this tool available not only to Internet users, but cell phone users that have Internet access.
I'm trying to encourage people to join FIRST Objective by requiring them to join before giving them access to My Team. It hasn't really worked as planned, but I haven't really had the time to properly promote these sites.
Anyhow, our first regional is in 2 weeks and today was the end of the first week of regionals. I watched some exciting new teams on an Internet web-cast today, and I also watched a few upsets too. This is certainly going to be an exciting season. Stay tuned as I hope to post more frequently in the days to come.
